Agreements

Details of some of the main Interinstitutional Agreements subscribed by ADOZONA:

  • EDENORTE / EDESUR / EDEESTE Y ADOZONA. This agreement has as object that the Distributors of Electricity, the Operators of Parks and the Companies of the Free Zone sign contracts for the sale of electric power in the conditions that are specified in the agreement.
  • ADOZONA / INFOTEP, subscribed March 16 1992 by which the sector has 35% of the payment made by INFOTEP to establish programs and courses of information for the workers of Free Zones.
  • ADOZONA / CUSTOMS / CNZF, subscribed August 12 1994 that:

    a) It unifies the tariffs for the transit and verification from the ports and airports of the country to the companies and parks.

    b) Creation of uniform rate of work for the offices of customs located in the Parks of Free Zones.

    c) Designate in each port and airport a Customs Subcolector for the Free Zones subjects.

  • TRIPARTITE COMMISSION OF HARMONIZATION, subscribed between Adozona, the Secretariat of State of Work and the following Union Confederations: CTU, CNTD, CTP, CGT, UGTD and CASC April 22 of 1994, through which are used the mediations before the Secretariat of State of Work like an instrument in a friendly way to dissolve the labor differences that appear in Free Zones companies.
  • ADOZONA / SEA, subscribed the August 13 of 1998 that:

    a) Reduces the amount of documents required for the entrance to the country of treated skins about immediate industrial use.

    b) Establishes the random system of inspection for treated skins of immediate industrial use.

    c) Allows the importer of treated skins of immediate industrial use that has confronted problems to obtain required documents, to present/display them in photocopy.

    d) Exempts of payment to the wood importers for boxes of cigarette, by certificate concept of not-objection emitted by the Department of Vegetal Health of the Secretariat of State of Agriculture.

    e) Reduces the amount of required documents required to import wood for boxes of cigarette, coming from countries and ports non-objected.

    f) Allows the wood importer for boxes of cigarette to stay informed on which are the countries and ports non-objected by the Secretariat of Agriculture, as well as the requirements that must fulfill to raise an import objection.


The Dominican Association of Free Zones, Inc. (ADOZONA) is a not-for-profit organization made up of the associations grouping the different free zone companies in the country and the private operators of industrial parks throughout the national territory of the Dominican Republic.
