The Dominican Republic is located in the Caribbean Sea, between Jamaica (to the West) and Puerto Rico (to the East). It occupies 2/3 of the Hispaniola Island, which we share with the Republic of Haiti.

Within the Greater Antilles, it is the second largest country following Cuba, with a land extension of 48,464 square kilometers.
